Overview
USAF PT Tracker (“the App”) is an Android application developed by Collins Nkrumah under Enkroma Group. The App is designed to help United States Air Force service members calculate and track their Physical Training (PT) scores based on official AFI 36-2905 standards.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and your rights with respect to that information.
All data you enter into the App remains on your device. The App requires no internet connection and communicates with no external servers or services.
Information We Collect
The App stores the following information locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to any server, third party, or external service.
Profile Information (Optional)
You may voluntarily enter the following in the Profile tab:
- Full name
- Military rank
- Unit
- Biological sex (Male / Female) — used for score calculation only
- Age group — used for score calculation only
PT Test History
When you save a PT score in the Calculator, the App stores:
- Date and time of the saved entry
- Cardio type and performance value (run time or HAMR shuttles)
- Strength type and rep count
- Core type and performance value (plank time or rep count)
- Waist and height measurements (for WHtR body composition calculation)
- Exemption flags for each component
- Calculated component points and total score
- Score category (Excellent, Satisfactory, or Unsatisfactory)
App Preferences
The App stores your settings locally, including:
- Selected theme (Light, Dark, or System)
- PT test reminder notification preference (enabled/disabled)
- Next PT test date (for countdown and calendar integration)
- Target Builder preferences (goal score, exercise type selections)
How We Use Your Information
All information is used solely to provide the App’s core functionality:
- Score calculation — Profile data (sex, age group) is used to look up the correct AFI 36-2905 scoring table for your inputs.
- Score history — History data is displayed in the History tab with trend charts and editing capability.
- Test countdown — Your test date is used to display the countdown, integrate with the calendar, and schedule reminders.
- Settings persistence — Preferences are restored when you reopen the App.
No information is used for advertising, analytics, tracking, or any purpose beyond operating the App on your device.
Data Storage & Security
All data is stored exclusively on your device using Android’s standard secure storage mechanisms:
- SharedPreferences — for profile data and app settings
- Room database (SQLite) — for PT test history
- Bundled scoring database (read-only) — for AFI 36-2905 scoring tables; this file ships with the App and is never modified
No cloud storage, remote database, or third-party backend is used. The App has no internet connectivity requirements and functions entirely offline.
Your data is protected by Android’s application sandboxing — other apps cannot access it. Data persists until you uninstall the App or clear its data through Android system settings.
Data Sharing
We do not share your data with anyone. Period.
Specifically, we do not:
The only external interaction the App initiates is when you choose to use the “Report an Issue” feature, which opens your device’s email app pre-populated with basic device and app version info. This action is entirely at your discretion — no data is sent automatically.
Android Permissions
The App requests the following Android permissions:
Used to send PT test reminder notifications at 90, 45, 30, 14, 7, 3, and 1 day(s) before your scheduled test date. You can disable these notifications at any time in the App’s Profile tab or in Android system settings. No notification content is transmitted externally.
Used to reschedule PT test reminders after your device restarts, ensuring you continue receiving reminders after a reboot. This permission does not grant access to any personal data, and no data is read or transmitted during this process.
No permissions for camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, or network access are requested or used.
Children’s Privacy
The App is designed for active-duty United States Air Force service members, who are adults aged 18 or older. The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through this App, please contact us immediately at [email protected], and we will take prompt action to remove that information.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted externally, you have full control at all times:
- Delete individual PT history entries by swiping left on them in the History tab
- Clear your profile by removing entries in the Profile tab and saving
- Delete all app data via Android Settings → Apps → USAF PT Tracker → Storage → Clear Data
- Remove all data permanently by uninstalling the App
Since no data is transmitted to any server, there is no remote data to request deletion beyond what exists on your device.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media services.
The only third-party integration is Android’s native Calendar provider, used when you tap “Add to Calendar” to add your PT test date to your device’s calendar app. This interaction is governed by your device’s calendar application and Android OS — not by this App — and no data is transmitted to any external service.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App’s functionality or applicable law. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.
Significant changes will be communicated through an updated App version on the Google Play Store. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
